According to South African legislation, parents have the right to homeschool their child/children and may make use of suitable resources and support to make the education process easier.

GAP Aanlyn has been an online homeschooling service provider since 2023, supporting parents who choose to educate their children at home.

We provide you, as the parent, with the necessary learning content, resources, support and guidance to educate your child safely and effectively from the comfort of your own home, with greater peace of mind.

You remain the parent and home educator – we help make the process simpler, more structured and less overwhelming.

We provide you with the necessary form from the Department of Basic Education. The form must be completed by you and submitted directly to the Department of Basic Education or sent to them via email.

This registration applies to learners up to the age of 15. From Grade 10 to Grade 12, registration is no longer required, as compulsory school attendance no longer applies from this age.

Upon completing their matric year, learners receive a certificate reflecting their annual average, which they can include with their CV. It is important to understand that this is not an NSC (National Senior Certificate). There are various options available for obtaining an NSC or a similar qualification.
